Shinhan Bank has teamed up with two leading blockchain firms Ground X and Hexlant to put blockchain technology into customer services.
Under the agreement signed this week, Ground X would provide a blockchain platform to Shinhan Bank. Hexlant would provide a private key management system to the bank.
Shinhan would be in charge of installing security technology and recovering the private key in the blockchain services.
The three firms would start a pilot service from October. However, it may take time for the bank to put the blockchain platform into customer services.
