LG CNS has joined in the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA).

The alliance, launched in 2017, has 500 global enterprises, including Microsoft, Intel, and JP Morgan, as its members.

Last July, LG CNS has participated in the Hyperledger project, which is one of the global blockchain projects.

In May, it also signed a partnership agreement with the R3 consortium, which specializes in blockchain-based global finance project.

The LG subsidiary became the first South Korean enterprise, which joined in the three global corporate blockchain projects, the EEA, Hyperledger, and R3.

The three are the world’s top three blockchain technologies for corporate use.

The three have different blockchain technologies, but they specialize in corporate blockchain technologies.

The three corporate blockchains are membership only. Thus only the members could participate in the networks. The three projects do not need cryptocurrencies.

Last June, LG CNS has secured a project from the South Korean minting company to establish the blockchain platform. It will run a trial operation late this month.

The services include an electronic gift card, document certification, and digital IC cards.

The platform was based on LG’s blockchain platform Monachain, of which core technology is hyper ledger fabric.

LG has run in-house venture startups to develop the ethereum-based blockchain platform, which can provide and distribute digital contents.

The company has joined the global fund transfer project using the R3 Corda technology in 2017. About 20 domestic and foreign banks have participated in the pilot project.

It also participated in a pilot project for the fund transfer service of the Bank of Korea.
