On October 5, SK C&C has announced that it has signed a ‘cooperation agreement to spread social values in everyday lives through Haenggarae’ with Hanyang University.

Haenggarae is a blockchain bases platform developed last year through ‘small practical ideas contest’ that SK C&C participated. The word, Haenggarae, consists of meaning of ‘lets create happiness to tomorrow.’

SK C&C executives and employees use Hanggarae application to perform social activities such as ▲ using a tumbler ▲ using the stairs ▲ walking ▲ blood donation and volunteer participation ▲ double-sided printing ▲ leaving no leftovers at the in-house restaurant. By participating such activities, members can accumulate SV points to donate or purchase social enterprise items through the Hanggarae application.

Through this agreement, SK C&C will share its major programs and operating know-how with Hanyang University. Starting on October 8th, Hanyang University students and faculty members can download the ‘Hanggarae Hanyang University Application’ from Google Play Store and Apple App Store to participate in social value creation activities.

For the users in Hanyang University, SV points ill be accumulated through activities such as walking the stairs of the campus department building, using a tumbler, and not leaving food in the school cafeteria. For example, if an app user scans QR code or NFC on the wall on each floor while using the stairs of the school building, user will receive 20SV points. The SV points can be used at cafes, bookstores, or purchasing souvenirs in school.

SK C&C is planning to expand the use of SV points for various social enterprise product purchases or external donations through ‘Hanggarae Hanyang University Application’
