Line, the Japanese subsidiary of South Korea’s largest Internet portal Naver, has unveiled its vision for this year this week.

It plans to provide communication platform, contents platform, entertainment platform, mobile payment platform, financial platform, commerce platform, marketing solution platform, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based search service.

Line pledges to provide ‘wow’ service to consumers through its innovative platforms, and upgrade the quality of life style.

Line kicked off the Line Score services, enabling people to check their credit scores, which AI calculates. It also partnered with broadcasting companies to provide real-time Line News. Line also signed a partnership accord with Nomura to launch Line Securities.

It plans to team up with Toyota to provide Line-based navigation services in the second half of this year. Its Line Flyer is both an advertising tool and a direct messaging service.

Line’s strategy is to merges online with offline for consumers.
