BLOCKFESTA 2020 will discuss the future of digital finance, which is receiving intensive light due to the corona 19 incident. In particular, attention is being drawn to the DeFi (Decentralized Finance) projects, which have been an investment frenzy this year.

In the ‘Future of the Digital Asset Market’ session, general counsel at O1Labs, Joon Kim, will start with explaining ‘What is DeFi’, the once led  DeFi boom project Compound, and Uniswap, which had the greatest impact on the expansion of the DeFi market. He will also mention Sushiswap.

He will compare the US Federal Securities Act with the Korean Securities Act and will cover the US Transmission Act and US Bank Security Act. He will also talk about issues to consider in DeFi platforms and the developers to do to comply with regulations.

Joon Kim served as general counsel at the Terra project and has worked with New York-based private equity fund Lightyear Capital as well as well’known global investment firm Goldman Sachs. Attorney Kim’s presentation will be conducted through recorded video. After his video, there will be speeches by the founders of the DeFi projects Ocean Protocol, Linear Finance, and Injective Protocol.

Ocean Protocol is a DeFi project designed to transparently manage and protect personal data by making it intellectual properties through blockchain technology and AI technology. Ocean Protocol’s native token is called Ocean and is used to trade the intellectual properties.

Linear Finance is a project launched to provide unlimited liquidity and zero slippage (the difference between the intended purchasing price and the actual purchasing price) for synthetic assets in the DeFi ecosystem. Linear token (LINA) is used for payment, staking, and governance within the platform.

Injective Protocol operates a decentralized derivatives trading platform. Users can trade digital assets through leverage. It is a noteworthy project invested by Binance Lab, Pantera Capital, and Hashed.

Detailed descriptions of each project can be viewed by participating in BLOCKFESTA 2020 and YouTube livestream.
