South Korea’s most popular messenger service provider Kakao unveiled its nine partners for the launch of its blockchain-based service next year.

Its blockchain project, named Klaytn has unveiled its global public blockchain platform Ground X early in October in Seoul before full launching next year.

Its nine partners include Wemadetree, Cosmo Chain, Vitalhint, Chain, Vetta, SPORTSPLEX, Humanscape, Piction Network, AIRBLOCK Protocal, and Rayon, Kakao said. These partners specialize in a variety of fields from gaming, sports, beauty to cooking.

Klaytn will join hands with Wemadetree for developing online gaming platform. It is the subsidiary of the Wemadentainment, which has accumulated users of more than 200 million worldwide.

Piction Network will participate in Klaytn project as a content provider. It would link web tuners and web fiction creators and users through the blockchain. The platform will link the Battlecomics which boasts of more than one million users and more than 1,000 Internet Protocols (IPs).

Vitalhint will provide a platform for cooking. It will provide food data and recipe which could be available at all restaurants, convenient stores, and marts. It will use Big Data to analyze dietary patterns of consumers.

The other partners will provide platforms for business data marketplace, beauty market, crowdfunding, health data, and other services.

Klaytn will test-run the programs before opening in the first quarter of next year. It will also continue to invite partners to make the service more appealing to the public.
