South Korea’s leading messenger service Line is expected to get a license in cryptocurrency exchange in Japan in a few weeks.

Once Line gets the license, it will start a business under the name of Bitmax. The exchange hopes to attract 80 million Line users as its customers.

The line is the Japanese subsidiary of South Korea’s largest Internet portal Naver. Naver has not opened its cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea where regulators are hostile toward anything linked to cryptocurrency.
