KT introduce the fifth-generation of wireless technology ( 5G)-based blockchain platform called Giga Chain. It is the first time in the world.
The platform helps companies use blockchain efficiently. Companies do not need to build their servers for blockchain services. They do not need to hire developers to create their servers. Companies can save money and time for developing their servers.
South Korea has only 200 blockchain developers.
KT said it would introduce the tailormade transaction processing system (TPS). Thus companies can choose at what speed they can process the transaction, a KT spokesman said. Depending on the types of TPS, KT said prices are different.
KT would invite 50 companies to join in what it calls the Eco Alliance at its high-speed blockchain platform. The alliance would lead consumers to use blockchain services, the spokesman said.
KT also unveiled ‘Giga Stealth,’ which helps the Internet of Things (IOT) consumers protect privacy. Giga Stealth filters out unverified people in accessing Internet Protocol (IP) address. Blockchain technology made Giga Stealth service possible.
