The Seoul Metropolitan Government will open six blockchain-based services late this year. The six are part of the 14 similar services Seoul will complete by 2022.

When the services are available, residents would no longer need to submit evidential documents when they apply for benefits.

The city would manage all of the city’s bonus point ‘mileage.’  The citizen card would get verified through e-signature. The blockchain-based service would manage contracts, experiences and social security subscriptions of hour-workers.

In March, the city started the blockchain-based citizen voting system, and the transaction of second-hand cars in the Jananpyong Used Car Market.
