More than 1,000 next-generation technology holders completed training under government sponsorship.
From September through this month, they underwent training in eight next-generation technologies, including artificial intelligence, the blockchain, big data, cloud, augmented realities, and virtual realities, driverless cars, drones, and smart contracts.
The Ministry of Science and ICT initiated programs as Korea lacks in manpower in those hi-tech technologies. It would train 1,400 young people annually for a combined total of 5,400 by 2021.
