The Seoul Metropolitan Government is inviting five blockchain developers to work as ombudsman for the blockchain projects.


Deadline for the application is Jan.18. Successful applicants would work till the end of next year.


They are called the Governance Group, who would review and comment on the blockchain projects the city develops. They would also attend a quarterly meeting and participate in trial operations.


The city has been developing blockchain-based platform whereby second-hand cars are traded and registered. In this platform, no one could edit mileage, contracts, accident information, and overall health of the used cars.


The city is also developing a blockchain-based platform through which people can participate in online voting.


Seoul City Mayor Park Won-soon has been proactive in the use of blockchain technologies in public services.
