The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation Monday announced that it had completed big data analysis of traffic flows of public buses.

It said it analyzed when and how many people get in and out of buses and when and where they change buses for going their destination.

The ministry will use the big data analysis in setting and adjusting public business routes across the country.

The ministry said it completed its four-year project, and provided the data to the local autonomous bodies and the other related agencies.

It has completed 23 cases of projects through big data analysis. This year, it used big data analysis to survey six projects for urban planning, medical facilities, food safety, factory-site locations, and fire safety.

It would upgrade its big data analytic platforms and provide the platforms to the other government and public agencies.
