The North Chungcheong Province has opened the center for promoting blockchain. The province is the first local autonomous body to open the center.
The center will open classes on blockchain for the residents in the central region,
It will also initiate a blockchain-based pilot project to store all medical information of the residents. Once doctors store prescriptions in the blockchain-based platform, only patients can retrieve the data. The platform is expected to prevent anybody, including doctors, from manipulating the data, the center said. Three will work at the center.
Kim Sung-gon, 51, will head the center. He was the visiting research fellow at the European Blockchain Center.
